Special forces of Russia and Pakistan seized buildings held by a conditional enemy during the joint exercises "Friendship-2021" in the Kuban. This was reported on Thursday, October 7, by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The assault of the "terrorists" began suddenly and from different directions. Special forces units operated together with engineering assault units, which ensured the blocking and destruction of the enemy in shelters.

"Engineering units laid a safe route to the area of the stronghold, clearing approaches from non-explosive and mine-explosive barriers, ensuring penetration into special forces units; in turn, the special forces eliminated the terrorists and freed the hostages," explained Colonel Alexander Lepeshkin, head of the Russian-Pakistani dRuzhba exercise.

The advance of the special forces and armored personnel carriers BTR-82A through the mined area, as well as the rubble of logs and stones, was provided by the latest robotic complex "URAN-6", the engineering barrier vehicle IMR-2 and the mine clearance unit UR-77.

Sappers with mine-search dogs also neutralized the approaches to the building and paved the way for the commandos. They used assault ladders and with their help penetrated into the occupied building through the windows of the second floor.

"Different methods can be used to capture a building at lightning speed. We demonstrated the entrance to the building with the help of assault ladders. You can also use breaks in the walls, descent from a helicopter by cables to the roof, simultaneous actions from different sides using these and other methods," said Captain Andrei Ivanov, commander of the social purpose group.

The Pakistani special forces carried out a combat mission as part of unified units with servicemen of the Russian army.

The joint Russian-Pakistani military exercises "dRuzhba-2021" are held from September 28 to October 9, 2021. They are aimed at strengthening and developing military cooperation between the two countries. 200 military personnel take part in the maneuvers, 100 people from each side.
