The new armored vehicle "Partner" was accepted for supply by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Yesterday, October 5, the press service of the Remdiesel company announced that MSIU 4386, better known as "Partner", will accompany military convoys.
"A special 4386 — MSIU 4386 escort and control vehicle has been adopted for the supply of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This protected vehicle is designed to accompany automobile convoys carrying special equipment, delivery of personnel and documentation, as well as the placement of a control point in places where work with special equipment is carried out," the press service of the Remdiesel company reported.

The "Partner" was created on the basis of the K-4386 "tYphoon-Airborne" chassis. The car has been developed since 2017, and since March of this year, the MSIU 4386 has been mass-produced. The escort vehicle differs from the basic version by a simplified spring suspension and a lower cost of operation.
Vehicles based on the Typhoon K-4386 chassis are frameless armored single-volume cross-country vehicles. The machines have a total weight of up to 13.5 tons and hull protection according to the 4th class according to OTT (mine protection — 3rd class according to OTT). The diesel engine allows the car to accelerate up to 130 km/ h, and the 200-liter tank provides a power reserve of 1200 km.
