SEVASTOPOL, October 6. /TASS/. The leading shipbuilding and ship repair enterprise of Sevastopol "Sevmorzavod" will be re-equipped to ensure the repair of ships and vessels of the Russian Navy. This was announced on Wednesday by the head of the Marine Instrument Corporation Leonid Strugov.
"In recent years, the Black Sea Fleet has been significantly re-equipped. Six submarines, three frigates, minesweepers, and missile ships were received. The facilities of the Sevmorzavod with its unique three dry docks will be used for their repair. To do this, the plant will be re-equipped, " he said at the opening ceremony of the "Maritime Week of Russia - 2021" and the Sevastopol Naval Salon.
The "Sea Week of Russia" is an annual congress and exhibition event, which includes a series of all-Russian and international maritime events aimed at the development of marine industries and coastal regions of the Russian Federation. This year the forum will be held from 6 to 9 October in Sevastopol and Crimea.
SVMS-2021 will be held for the third time. It will feature an exhibition of the latest ships, vessels, boats and yachts, which will take place in the waters of the Sevastopol bays. The basic berthing facilities of the cabin are located on the Mine Wall. Due to COVID restrictions, the exhibition of the latest combat equipment of the coastal troops will not be held this year, the events of the MPR will be held in a closed format.
