MOSCOW, Oct 6 - RIA Novosti. Russian servicemen at the joint exercises "dRuzhba-2021" showed their colleagues from Pakistan a "smart house", the Southern Military District reported.
In Smart House, all objects are mined, starting from the gate, windows and the front door along with the bell, to furniture and household items - wardrobes, desk drawers, kettle, suitcase and so on. If a military man activates a trap without defusing it, then an explosion is simulated using small and safe charges for a person, and a siren is also turned on.
"This is a novelty <...>. It is aimed at practical training of special units. All possible options for mining objects in a residential building are provided at this training place," explained Colonel Roman Bessmertny, head of the engineering service of the Southern Military District association.
He added that when a special forces group is tasked with clearing an object from a conditional enemy and finding documents, military personnel can touch objects in the house. "In order to exclude the undermining of the unit, we conduct classes and show real situations," the officer said.
The joint Russian-Pakistani exercises "Friendship-2021" at the Molkino training ground in the Krasnodar Territory will last until October 9. About 200 military personnel are involved in them. The training should end with the working out of the actions of the assault company during the liberation of the settlement from illegal armed formations.
