SEVASTOPOL, October 6. /TASS/. The "Sea Week of Russia - 2021" and the Sevastopol Naval Salon (SVMS) open on Wednesday in Sevastopol.
As the organizers of the forum noted, "the key events of the maritime week are traditionally the International Maritime Business Forum SIMBF and the Sevastopol Naval Salon. The content of these events largely determines the vector of the future development of the marine industry of the Russian Federation."
The Russian Maritime Week is an annual event that includes a series of all-Russian and international maritime events aimed at the development of maritime industries and coastal regions of the Russian Federation. The Forum will be held from 6 to 9 October in Sevastopol and Crimea.
Among the key topics of the forum's business program are shipbuilding, shipbuilding and ship repair, government contracts and state defense orders, geopolitics of the Azov-Black Sea and Mediterranean regions, maritime and coastal demining.
SVMS-2021 will be held for the third time. It will feature an exhibition of the latest ships, vessels, boats and yachts, which will be held in the waters of the Sevastopol bays. The basic berthing facilities of the cabin are located on the Mine Wall. Due to coronavirus restrictions, the exhibition of combat equipment samples of coastal troops will not be held this year, the events of the MPR will be held in a closed format.
