MOSCOW, Oct 5 - RIA Novosti. Russia has sent a small ship "Vyshny Volochek", equipped with a Kalibr-NK missile system, to the Mediterranean Sea, the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet reported.
It is noted that during the planned transition from the Black Sea to the far sea zone, the ship's crew will conduct combat exercises, including naval combat, search and destruction of submarines, air defense, protection and defense of the ship in an unprotected raid, ship management in areas of intensive navigation.
In the Mediterranean, the Vyshny Volochyok will become part of the forces of the permanent connection of the Navy and will replace a similar ship in it, the Ingushetia, which has been performing special tasks since July 2021.
