The Su-24MR reconnaissance planes and Su-34 fighter-bombers bombed the hidden objects of the "enemy" at the aviapoligon in the Kurgan region. Here, the press service of the Central Military District reports, the servicemen passed the "exam" on combat training for the 2021 academic year.
According to legend, the crews of the Su-24MR conducted reconnaissance and, having found the targets, transmitted the coordinates to a group of fighter-bombers. Those, in turn, inflicted successive blows with high-explosive fragmentation bombs weighing 270 kilograms on targets that imitated the accumulation of armored vehicles of a conditional enemy.
As noted in the Central Military District, the pilots of the Su-34 used the aviation complex of electronic countermeasures "Khibiny". It is designed to protect aircraft, namely, to delay their detection as objects of attack from the enemy, to mask the true object against the background of false ones, and so on. During the exercises at the Kurgan training ground, the complex made it possible to disable the means of radar detection of the "enemy" and secretly enter the area of training and combat use of aerial bombs.
More than ten winged vehicles and about a hundred military personnel were involved in the control check.
