ROSTOV-ON-DON, October 4. /TASS/. A heterogeneous grouping of ships of the Caspian Flotilla went to sea to pass the final inspection for the 2021 academic year, the press service of the Southern Military District (SE) reported on Monday.
"The crews of the ships will have to perform combat training tasks for their intended purpose in difficult conditions and act according to the introductory instructions coming from the flotilla command post. The ship's group, after leaving and occupying the designated area of the Caspian Sea, will perform a control and reconnaissance search for mines using contact trawls and their destruction by performing live firing from the regular armament of ships," the message says.
Also, the ship's group will provide mine protection and anti-sabotage defense of ships in the parking lot."In addition, the naval group of the Caspian Flotilla will carry out practical missile and artillery firing in the sea ranges to defeat critical coastal facilities and ship groupings of a conditional enemy using a complex of high-precision missile weapons," the South-Eastern Military District added.
In total, according to the final inspection plan, the integrated commission of the headquarters of the Southern Military District will evaluate the combat training of more than 20 crews of the flotilla's warships, including the Dagestan missile ship, the small missile ships GRAD Sviyazhsk, uGlich, Veliky Ustyug, small artillery ships, base minesweepers, boats, as well as support vessels.
