A new ship was laid for the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Federation. Yesterday, on September 30, the press service of Amur Shipbuilding Plant JSC reported that a solemn ceremony of laying a new corvette was held at the enterprise.
The ship was named "Brave" and will be the final in a series of six Project 20380 corvettes being built for the Pacific Fleet. It is planned that the ship will enter combat service in 2025.

The multipurpose corvettes of Project 20380 are ships of the near sea zone capable of fighting ships and submarines, as well as providing fire support to the marines during amphibious operations. The total displacement of the corvette is about 2,200 tons, the speed is 27 knots, the range of autonomous navigation is up to 4,000 miles.

The armament of each of the ships of project 20380 includes an anti-ship missile system "Uranus", an anti-aircraft missile system "Redut", torpedoes, an arsenal of radar and electronic equipment, as well as large-caliber machine-gun and grenade launchers. At the stern there is a helipad with a hangar for basing the Ka-27 helicopter in the anti-submarine version.
