MOSCOW, Oct 1 - RIA Novosti. Strike robotic complexes "Uran-9" will be put into trial operation in the Ground Forces from 2022, in the near future they are planned to be put into service, said the commander-in-chief of this type of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Oleg Salyukov.
Salyukov recalled that this year the URAN-9 combat robots, along with the nErekhta complexes, were used for the first time in the combat formations of combined arms units. Moreover, the robots were able to hit all their targets. "The control of the RTK was carried out by operators located at control points at a distance of 1.5 km, where they observed the defeat of a conditional enemy in real time," the commander-in-chief of the SV specified.
The URAN-9 robots are armed with 30-mm cannons, the ATAKA guided weapons system, as well as machine guns and rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers. Their combat weight reaches 12 tons.
