TSAMTO, September 30. For the first time, the newest robotic complex "URAN-6" was used at the dRuzhba exercise, which overcame mine-explosive barriers and cleared various objects.
On the first day of the joint Russian-Pakistani exercise "dRuzhba-2021", the military personnel of the special purpose unit of Pakistan studied the use of robotic mine clearance systems "URAN-6", got acquainted with the work of Russian colleagues in the construction of engineering barriers, clearing terrain, objects and overcoming mine-explosive barriers.
The mine clearance complex is a light armored vehicle with remote control and mine clearance systems. Depending on the trawling equipment used, the machine weighs 6-7 tons.
Military engineers of the Southern Military District conducted classes on the electrical method of blasting structural elements made of wood, steel, brick, stone, concrete and reinforced concrete. The Pakistani military also studied the installation of anti-personnel and anti-tank mines, improvised explosive devices and non-explosive barriers.
The joint Russian-Pakistani exercise "Druzhba-2021" will last until October 9 and will end with a joint tactical and special lesson on the action of an assault company during the storming of a settlement and objects, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
