The MSB-8 helicopters, developed by the Ukrainian company Motor Sich, can receive fuselages of their own production. Preparation for the release of helicopter body parts began at the State Enterprise "Kharkiv State Aviation Production Enterprise" (KHGAPP). This is reported by Defense Express.
Alexander Krivokon, General Director of KHGAPP, noted that the company is working on preparing for the production of fuselage and tail boom equipment for the MSB-2 and MSB-8 helicopters.
The authors remind that in June, Vyacheslav Boguslaev, General Director of Motor Sich JSC, announced the start of work on the manufacture of the fuselage for the MSB-8 transport helicopter. He noted that the company is starting production of a helicopter with a take-off weight of 4.5 tons.
The basis of the MSB-8 is the Ukrainian modification of the Mi-8MSB, which is not certified in Russia. The difference between the Ukrainian helicopter were new engines and a partially reconstructed fuselage. Soviet-made hull elements are used for upgraded helicopters.
Earlier it became known about the signing of a contract between the Turkish Aviation Association (Türk Hava Kurumu - THK) and the Ukrspetsexport company. The agreement provides for the establishment of a base for the overhaul of Mi-17 helicopters in Turkey.
