Moscow. September 29. INTERFAX - Seven aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet conducted a bombing and missile launch exercise in Crimea, said the official representative of the Black Sea Fleet Alexei Rulev.
"Su-24M front-line bombers and Su-30SM multi-purpose fighters took to the sky to destroy the "enemy". Having discovered the objects of the imaginary enemy, the crews bombed and launched unguided missiles, destroying target positions simulating the objects of the imaginary enemy," Rulev said.
According to him, the objects of the imaginary enemy were discovered by the Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft.
In total, seven aircraft of a separate naval assault regiment from the Black Sea Fleet aviation were involved in the exercise, Rulev said.
"During the training flights, the pilots worked out the standards for emergency departure from the home airfield and performed elements of complex aerobatics to escape from the air defense of a simulated enemy at various altitudes both singly and as part of pairs," the representative of the fleet added.
He noted that the exercise was conducted in accordance with the combat training plan and the daily activities of the fleet forces for the 2021 academic year.
Over the past few years, the Russian military has significantly strengthened the grouping in the Crimea, including through the S-400 long-range air defense systems (Almaz-Antey Concern of East Kazakhstan Region).
The Russian Defense Ministry said that a group has been created in Crimea that is able to provide protection from all threats.
