YEKATERINBURG, September 29. /TASS/. Combat crews of anti-aircraft missile systems of formations and military units of the air defense of the Central Military District hit more than 50 air targets during joint exercises of the air defense forces, which ended in the Astrakhan region. This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the Central Military District.
"Calculations of anti-aircraft missile systems and systems carried out combat missile launches day and night with an accuracy of more than 90%. As part of the combined group of air defense forces, combat crews of S-300V, Buk-M2, Buk-M1, Tor-M1, Osa-AKM, Strela-10, IGLA-S portable anti-aircraft missile systems and TUNGUSKA anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes operated. During the exercise, the servicemen destroyed targets simulating small-sized unmanned aerial vehicles, attack helicopters, fighters, bombers, as well as ballistic and cruise missiles in the conditions of the use of electronic interference," the report says, specifying that more than 50 targets were destroyed in total.
The exercises of the air defense forces of the Central Military District in the Astrakhan region involved formations, military units and units stationed in the Kirov, Orenburg, Samara, Penza, Chelyabinsk regions and the Altai Territory, more than 2 thousand military personnel and over 700 pieces of equipment.
