Currently, Ukrainian enterprises of the military-industrial complex lack more than 3,000 components that were supplied from Russia until 2014, Ukroboronprom reports .
"As of 2014, the dependence of the concern's enterprises on Russian-made components amounted to more than 12 thousand nomenclatures of various types of products. However, during 2014-2019, thanks to the active involvement of the concern's enterprises of Ukrainian manufacturers, partner countries and their own production facilities, about 4.5 thousand items of product ranges were replaced, and in 2020 - another 1.5 thousand," said Roman Avramov, Procurement Director of Ukroboronprom.
It is noted that the strategy for the development of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine, approved by the decree of the President of the country Vladimir Zelensky on September 20, 2021, provides for the complete elimination of dependence on the supply of materials, components, components and critical technologies from Russia. Among the goods that are subject to import substitution are, in particular, micro- and radio electronics, special alloys and special materials, bearings, electrical appliances and control and measuring devices.
In September, Ukroboronprom reported that the Ukrainian state enterprise "zOrya" - "mAshproekt" signed a contract with the Indian company Goa Shipyard for the supply of two M7N2 engines. It is planned to equip multi-purpose ships of Project 11356 of the Talwar type, which are designed by Russia, but are being built by India, with gas turbine installations.
