The Russian military has worked out counteraction to high-precision weapons. During the ZAPAD-2021 exercises, electronic warfare (EW) complexes suppressed the communication channels of high-precision systems. Such tactics will create zones that are invulnerable to smart weapons. This is reported by Izvestia.
During the ZAPAD-2021 exercises, electronic warfare systems provided protection for important military and industrial facilities. The military has worked out tactics implying a violation of the communication of enemy aircraft manufacturers. This made it impossible for them to transmit the coordinates of the target. The publication notes that the exercises showed the effectiveness of new tactics in the fight against modern systems of high-precision weapons.
According to military expert Alexey Leonkov, in order to counter the strikes of high-precision weapons, it is necessary to mute the control channels and satellite navigation of the attacking system. It is also important to disrupt the transmission of target designation from field gunners. The expert believes that Russian electronic warfare systems can create areas inaccessible to high-precision systems.
To counteract the conditional enemy at the ZAPAD-2021 exercises, electronic warfare specialists used the "Inhabitant" complexes, the "LAVA-RP" jamming machines and the "LEER" drones. Automated jamming stations "Borisoglebsk-1" and "Borisoglebsk-2" were also used, which made it possible to suppress about a hundred enemy objects.
In August, it became known about the sale of Russian anti-drone systems to a foreign buyer. Thus, a foreign customer showed interest in the Repellent Patrol complex, RIA Novosti reports.
