Over the weekend, videos appeared online showing the transfer of T-72MS "White Eagle" tanks on heavy-duty trawls to the administrative border with Kosovo.
As noted in the Rossiyskaya Gazeta project - " Russian weapons ", armored vehicles were sent to these areas after the incidents that occurred here at the checkpoints "yArine" and "bRnyak". The police of the self-proclaimed territory deployed more than three hundred people, including snipers, and 20 armored vehicles in the zone of tension.
A total of thirty Russian-made T-72MS are in service with the Serbian army. The vehicles use 125 mm smoothbore guns, 7.62 mm and 12.7 mm machine guns as their main weapons. The latter is placed on the tower in a remote-controlled installation. There is a multi-channel gunner-operator sight and a commander's panorama. The 840 hp engine provides good maneuverability. The main armor is reinforced with dynamic protection.
The border areas are patrolled by Serbian aviation, including MiG-29 and J-22 Orao.
