The crews of the BDK "Minsk", "Korolev" and "Kaliningrad" completed the tasks of mine laying in the sea ranges of the Baltic Fleet.
As part of the exercises, the sailors of the BDK "Minsk", "Korolev" and "Kaliningrad" carried out the installation of defensive minefields in the specified areas. At the same time, training bottom and anchor mines were used.
Then all the delivered mines were "neutralized" by a ship's minesweeping group consisting of the base minesweeper Novocheboksarsk and the raid minesweeper Leonid Perepech, the head of the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the BF, Captain 1 rank Roman Martov, told the Military-Industrial Courier.
In addition to mining the water area, the crews of the BDK worked out protection against weapons of mass destruction at the sea crossing. The main attention was paid to the implementation of standards for sealing the hull and carrying out special treatment of ships in case of a conditional hit in the area of radiation contamination.
