ROSTOV-ON-DON, September 27. /TASS/. The ship group of the Caspian Flotilla (CFl) will conduct live firing and maneuvering at sea, the press service of the Southern Military District (SE) reported on Monday.
"During the naval exercises, the crews of the CFl ships will perform live firing exercises from artillery installations on ship shields simulating a detachment of ships of a conditional enemy, as well as on ground targets simulating the enemy's amphibious assault, "the report says.
The exercises will be held in two stages, from October 4 to 18, and then from October 18 to 26.
The ships will perform tasks of defense, repelling attacks from the air, as well as destroying minefields. "In the future, the ship groups of the CFL will have to conduct a sailing exercise in a single marching order, work out actions to repel an air attack and deliver a fire strike on a detachment of warships of a conditional enemy," the press service added.
In total, about 20 warships and support vessels of the CFL will be involved in the naval exercises, including the base minesweeper "Magomed Hajiyev", the anti-sabotage boat "Yunarmeets of the Caspian Sea", small artillery and missile ships.
