A detachment of ships and submarines of the Pacific Fleet (TOF), performing an inter-fleet transition from the Baltic to places of permanent deployment, is preparing to cross the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait to get out of the Red Sea. This was reported to TASS by a source in the military-industrial complex.
"A detachment of ships and submarines of the Pacific Fleet led by the corvette "Gremyashchy" will soon leave the Red Sea for the Gulf of Aden," he said.

On September 23, a source in the military-industrial complex told TASS that the ships and submarines of the Pacific Fleet crossed the Suez Canal. According to the agency's interlocutor, on September 24, the rescue and towing vessel "Captain Guryev" of the Black Sea Fleet joined the detachment in the central part of the Red Sea.
The detachment consists of the submarines "Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky "and" Volkhov "of project 636.3 built by "Admiralty Shipyards". They arrived in the Mediterranean in early August. The corvette and submarines of the Pacific Fleet are carriers of Kalibr-NK/PL cruise missiles. They can launch up to 20 missiles of this type in one salvo.
