Moscow. September 25. INTERFAX-The Northern Fleet conducted an interspecific exercise in the Laptev Sea with the participation of warships, the Pantsir and Bastion complexes, the press service of the SF reported.
"A detachment of warships together with the tactical group of the coastal troops of the Northern Fleet, stationed on the Kotelny Island of the Novosibirsk Islands archipelago, conducted an interspecific tactical exercise with live firing," the press service said.
According to the fleet headquarters, the exercise involved a large anti-submarine ship "Severomorsk", a large landing ship "George the Victorious", helicopters of deck aviation and marines.
"During the exercise, the Marines performed live firing from submachine guns, machine guns, mortars and grenade launchers at targets simulating the manpower and equipment of a simulated enemy. The calculations of the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft gun complex successfully fired at coastal and air targets at a distance of up to 3 km, " the press service said.
In addition, the coastal missile system "Bastion", stationed on Kotelny Island, was involved in the exercise - it worked out the destruction of a landing party of a conditional enemy on the route of the Northern Sea Route with cruise missiles. This task was performed using computer simulation of the situation without the actual use of weapons.
