Moscow. September 25. INTERFAX - The large anti-submarine ship (BOD) "Vice Admiral Kulakov" conducted exercises to search for submarines in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa, the press service of the Northern Fleet reported.
"During the search for submarines, the Severomorets carried out the activation of anti-submarine weapons and practiced the attack of a conditional underwater enemy," the press service said.
According to the fleet headquarters, during the exercise, the ship's onboard sonar facilities were used, as well as an anti-submarine helicopter taking off from the deck.
The Vice Admiral Kulakov, the Altai rescue and towing vessel and the Akademik Pashin medium sea tanker are located in the north-eastern part of the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa and are heading in a southerly direction, the SF headquarters said.
