Moscow. September 24. INTERFAX-The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TSNIITOCHMASH, part of Rostec) has started mass production of protection systems against high-precision weapons, the press service of Rostec reported.
"The complexes include attack warning sensors, control and display equipment, launching devices, as well as aerosol ammunition. The complex is able to protect equipment from high-precision weapons with laser, optical, thermal and radar guidance, " the state corporation reported.
It is noted that the product is designed to protect the TOS-2 heavy flamethrower system, the PRP-5 reconnaissance vehicle, as well as the Zavet-D automated artillery control systems.
According to Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the Rostec cluster of weapons, ammunition and special chemicals, during an enemy attack, the complex determines the threat and "hides" the equipment behind a curtain of combined interference, thanks to this, the ammunition loses contact with the target, strays from the attacking course or continues flying "blindly".
