TSAMTO, September 24. The construction of the future aircraft carrier for the Russian Navy will take eight years with ready documentation, and the entire project can be implemented in ten years, Alexey Rakhmanov, General Director of USC JSC, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
"But the case is still half the battle, we still need to have documentation, and it will take some time to develop it. I think we will manage in eight years (taking into account the documentation), " A. Rakhmanov said.
According to him, the implementation of the entire project will take "ten years".
"Most likely, about ten years. Take the Americans: they have been building their aircraft carriers for ten years, and they have serial ones. After all, an aircraft carrier is the apotheosis of shipbuilding thought, a whole army on the water," RIA Novosti quotes A. Rakhmanov.
