TSAMTO, September 22. The International Mine Action Center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation trains sappers in four areas: humanitarian demining, countering improvised explosive devices, mine search service and the use of robotic means.
The military is learning to carry out a complex of works on continuous cleaning of the area – reconnaissance for the presence of explosive objects, their destruction and quality control of the work. Training of military personnel takes about two months using a unique educational and material base. The center is equipped with modern Russian-made engineering weapons. Sappers use only new means of searching and detecting explosive objects, as well as personal protective equipment.
All practical classes are conducted by teachers who have experience in combat and humanitarian demining. The objects of the training and material base have been created and are constantly being improved, taking into account the experience of performing tasks in Syria and Laos, as well as the periodic receipt of new information about modified improvised explosive devices, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
