ST. PETERSBURG, September 21. /TASS/. The technical possibility of building unmanned vessels in Russia will appear in three years. This was stated by the General Director of JSC "United Shipbuilding Corporation" (USC) Alexey Rakhmanov during the plenary session at the forum "Neva 2021".
"From the technical point of view, [the possibility of the appearance of unmanned vessels will appear] in three years," he said, answering the relevant question.
Rakhmanov added that the appearance of unmanned vessels in the waters depends not only on the technical capability, but also on changes in the regulatory framework.
The Neva 2021 Civil Shipbuilding Forum is being held in St. Petersburg from September 21 to 24.
