At a special lesson in the Leningrad region, the military used modern electronic warfare systems (EW). They can suppress communication and GPS navigation.
According to the press service of the Western Military District, the servicemen of a separate electronic warfare battalion in the field carried out an electronic defeat of control points, nodes and communication means in all ranges of the conditional enemy.
The participants of the exercises worked out the deployment of electronic warfare systems. Sources of radio-electronic radiation were detected, interference was created to communication and control systems. The tasks of suppressing GPS navigation equipment were also performed.
The military used automated jamming stations " Tit " and "Krasukha-4s", powerful noise jamming stations SPN-2, 4, as well as a jamming station "Resident".
In the course of electronic warfare, interference is created for the control, communication and intelligence systems of the enemy. At the same time, their systems are protected from such effects.
