A South Korean video shows a vertical launch of a rocket from a firing range launcher and then a missile flight simulating a hit through a target grid on a target barge. Judging by the image, the rocket is equipped with a ramjet engine with a characteristic nose air intake with a cone. The characteristics and even the designation of the rocket are not disclosed, but it is stated that its development was completed by the end of 2020.
Reports about the development of a supersonic RCC in South Korea, including on the basis of Russian technologies, have been circulating for quite some time. There are even claims in South Korean online sources that in 2002, South Korea, as part of a cooperation agreement, acquired in Russia either a sample of the Yakhont missile, or its technologies. According to some reports, flight tests of a South Korean supersonic missile were launched in 2017.
