Moscow. September 17. INTERFAX-The Russian military has received a Be-200 multi-purpose amphibious aircraft as part of a state defense order, according to data from the Russian Defense Ministry published in the departmental newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda on Friday.
On August 15, a Be-200 belonging to the Russian Defense Ministry crashed in Turkey, where it participated in extinguishing fires. As a result of that plane crash, five Russian soldiers and three Turkish citizens who were on board were killed.
Be-200 is designed for fire fighting and emergency assistance in areas of emergency disasters. The Be-200 can take 12 tons of water on board. The tanks are filled within 14 seconds at a speed of 150-190 km / h when planing on the water surface. For one refueling, the aircraft is able to drop up to 270 tons of water on the fire center.
