JSC "Baltic Shipbuilding Plant "Yantar" will accelerate the construction of two large amphibious ships of the project 11711.
This was announced by JSC United Shipbuilding Corporation following the results of a meeting held at the shipyard by Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko.
"At the meeting, it was noted that shipbuilders are ready to accelerate the construction of two large amphibious ships of the 11711 project, despite the technical difficulties that have arisen," the corporation said in a statement.
"We continue to work on the construction and delivery of a number of military and civilian ships, including within the framework of international cooperation. As part of the cluster cooperation of enterprises of the shipbuilding industry of the region, we are participating in the construction of an electric ferry and are planning the construction of catamaran-type boats of the Dobrynya project, " said the General Director of YantarIlya Samarin about the plant's fulfillment of the state defense order and orders under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
