TSAMTO, September 16. For the first time, the newest special vehicle of mine clearance groups (SAGR) based on the UAZ-2363 pickup truck entered service with a separate marine engineering regiment of the Pacific Fleet.
The car was designed specifically for the engineering troops and has already begun to enter the units according to the appropriate schedule.
The SAGR is protected by an armored capsule body, and inside the luggage compartment there are containers for transporting explosive devices, racks for explosive objects (VOP), a blanket for locating the explosion and much more.
The special vehicle of the mine clearance groups is equipped with a mine detector, a gradiometer, a trench tool, fencing tapes, a ladder, a winch, a stretcher for carrying the VOP and first-aid kits.
The SAGR chassis based on the UAZ-2363 pickup truck is additionally reinforced, special rubber is installed. The special car is equipped with floodlights, a loudspeaker and an additional roof trunk.
The SAGR calculation consists of four military personnel, including the group commander, the driver and engineers-sappers. The personnel are able to independently perform the tasks of mine clearance of the military district, including in urban conditions, with greater efficiency and safety, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
