Ekaterinburg. September 15. INTERFAX - The construction of the terminal of the new airport complex of the Vostochny cosmodrome will be completed in 2024-2025, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said.
"We understand that the terminal should be introduced somewhere in 2024-2025, but the strip will start receiving aircraft in 2023," Rogozin told reporters.
In June 2020, the executive director of Roscosmos for capital construction and technical re-equipment of the industry, Tatyana Andreeva-Yanskaya, announced that all work on the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome airport complex should be completed by 2023.
"We worked together with the government and received the president's consent to start the construction of the airport complex for an earlier period. That is, we are starting it this year and will finish it in 2023, " Andreeva-Yanskaya said.
She explained that such a decision was made, since the overall components of the launch vehicles are "sensitive to rail transportation."
According to the state corporation "Roscosmos", in December 2020, a comprehensive state contract was signed for the construction of an airport at the Vostochny cosmodrome with the sole contractor of the work - JSC"Crocus".
It is noted that in the future the airport may become international.
The airport will provide "reception and release of all types of passenger, transport and specialized aircraft, as well as the solution of all activities of the search and rescue complex of crews". It will be able to receive An-124 and Il-76 aircraft.
According to public procurement data, 35.28 billion rubles were allocated for construction. The first stage, worth 28 billion rubles, should be completed by 2025.
