The Comac C919 is a narrow-body medium-haul passenger aircraft. This is the largest airliner that was designed and built in China after the experimental Shanghai Y-10.
The first flight of the C919 was performed on May 5, 2017. As of the end of the year before last, six prototypes were built.
According to experts, the C919 will compete in the market with the Russian MS-21. It took to the sky at about the same time as the Comac aircraft, but so far the program is inferior to the Chinese one in terms of readiness.
