TSAMTO, September 14. The ceremonial launching of the serial small rocket ship of the project 21631 "Grad "will take place on September 17 at the JSC" Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky " in the Republic of Tatarstan.
This was announced by the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, following the results of a meeting at which the construction of new-generation surface ships was considered.
The multi-purpose MRK of the project 21631 "Grad "was developed by JSC" Zelenodolsk Design Bureau " and is equipped with the latest missile and artillery weapons, anti-sabotage, anti-aircraft and radio-technical weapons. The crew of the ship is being trained at the Joint Training Center of the Russian Navy in St. Petersburg according to a specially developed training program that allows them to develop stable theoretical and practical skills of personnel for the development and competent operation of equipment and weapons of new generation ships. The latest training and training complexes of the training center are used in the training of personnel.
The multi-purpose ships of the project 21631 demonstrated their effectiveness in 2015, when striking terrorist targets on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic.
