TSAMTO, September 14. For the first time, the change of positions of motorized rifle units in conducting maneuverable defense was provided by reconnaissance and fire support robots from the Uran-9 robotic complex during the practical actions of troops (forces) of the main stage of the SSU "West-2021" at the Mulino training ground.
Thanks to its powerful universal weapons, the Uran-9 robotic complex is able to destroy enemy firing points and fortifications, fight tanks, armored combat vehicles and manpower, while not endangering the lives of personnel.
The armament of the Uran-9 robotic complex includes four Ataka anti-tank missile systems, twelve RPO PDM-A rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers, 30-mm automatic cannons and PKTM machine guns.
The actions of the robotic unit were provided by the tactical laser complex "Quarry", the capabilities of which allow detecting and suppressing optical means of reconnaissance and surveillance of tanks, other armored vehicles and small arms at a range of up to 2000 m, which makes it possible to exclude targeted fire of enemy weapons, the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.
