The Ministry of Defense has published a video of the launch of a cruise missile "Granit "from the nuclear submarine" Eagle"of project 949A ("Antey") in the Barents Sea.
The shooting was conducted from an underwater position. At the same time, the target simulating a surface ship of a conditional enemy was at a distance of more than 100 km from the launch point of the missile.
According to the fleet command, the crew of the nuclear submarine "Eagle" successfully coped with the task. At the same time, high professionalism and naval training were demonstrated.
In October 2020, as part of the preparation, the nuclear submarine "Eagle" fired a Granit missile at a surface target in the Barents Sea. After the successful missile firing, the affected target was examined by the crew of the Il-38 anti-submarine aircraft of the separate mixed aviation regiment of the Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Northern Fleet.
