So, according to the data at the disposal of the editorial office Avia.pro The Russian military managed to successfully intercept a hypersonic target that was flying at a speed of MACH 10 (about 12,000 km/h).
We are talking about the successful defeat of the target rocket "Favorit-RM", which was able to accelerate to hypersonic speed. It is known that Russian specialists managed to successfully detect the launched missile and when the latter was flying over the S-400 air defense system deployment area, the hypersonic target was successfully intercepted, although two anti-missiles were fired at it.
Despite criticism from the West, the Russian S-400 Triumph complexes are a promising type of weapon.
As part of the current exercises, the success of their use was proved even against targets moving at hypersonic speed. This, obviously, can lead to an expansion of the list of Russian partners who are ready to purchase these complexes.
