The anti-tank missile system "Chrysanthemum-S" still attracts the attention of foreign and Russian specialists. It is armed with fifteen unique supersonic missiles that can destroy any modern tank day and night, in any weather, at a distance of 6000 meters.
In this case, two types of guidance can be used: by laser beam or by radio channel. Two types of combat units are also used: tandem-cumulative and thermobaric. As a result, the ATGM can fight not only with armored vehicles, but also with engineering and fortifications, surface targets, low-speed air targets and enemy manpower.
The launchers are made on the chassis of the proven long-term operation of the BMP-3. The combat weight is about 20 tons. Speed on the highway-up to 70 km/h, afloat 10 km/h. The fuel reserve is 600 km. The crew of the car consists of two people - a driver-mechanic and a gunner-operator.
"Chrysanthemum-S" was demonstrated this year at the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021". These ATGMs also take part in the strategic exercise "West - 2021".
