TSAMTO, September 8. The boat of the project R1650 "Rondo", built by the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation), has successfully completed the program of factory sea trials.
During the implementation of the test program, the delivery team of the SNSZ checked the operability of the main systems and mechanisms of the boat. The vessel will be the fourth boat of the project P1650 series, built at the Sredne-Nevsky Shipyard for the needs of the Border Service of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation. The lead boat of the R1650 Rondo project was handed over to the customer in 2015.
The multi-purpose boat of the R1650 Rondo project is designed to perform the tasks of the patrol and inspection service, to carry out duty in designated areas, to deliver and remove special personnel from vessels subject to inspection, to transport groups of special personnel, cargo, to rescue people in areas of duty.
The peculiarity of the R1650 Rondo project is the combination of materials and technologies during construction, which gives a number of advantages that can significantly reduce the cost of operation and maintenance of the vessel. The use of composite materials in the manufacture of decks, deckhouses and building elements ensures high quality finishes. The hull of the boat, made of shipbuilding steel, and the design features of the bottom-outboard fittings allow the vessel to be operated in winter in conditions of shallow ice, as well as to make the boat suck on the water with freezing into the ice.
