YEKATERINBURG, September 8. /TASS/. The crews of high-altitude supersonic fighter-interceptors MiG-31BM of the aviation division of the Central Military District (CVO) during flight-tactical exercises flew from the Krasnoyarsk Territory and completed the relocation to the airfield in the Trans-Baikal Territory to practice combat launches of long-range missiles. This is stated in a message distributed on Wednesday by the press service of the district.
"Five MiG-31BM high-altitude interceptors covered about 2,000 kilometers in less than two hours and completed the relocation to the operational airfield near Chita. Before performing combat launches, the crews performed reconnaissance of the approach routes to the new airfield, conducted an analysis of actions in the area of combat use, theoretical briefings and practical training on the ground. The pilots verified the speed, altitude and characteristics of maneuvers on each section of the route, " the report says.
