"Killer whale" is also actively used in the civil sphere
MOSCOW, September 7. /TASS/. The latest search and sighting complex "Kasatka" is already being placed on the aircraft of the Russian Defense Ministry. This was announced in an interview with TASS by the executive director of the scientific and production enterprise "Radar mms" Ivan Antsev.
"The work with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation as a customer has been carried out for several years, the vector has already been set, the elements of the system are already being placed on the aircraft of the Ministry of Defense of Russia," he said.
According to him, the Kasatka complex is also actively used in the civil sphere, including on drones created by the company for geological exploration, cargo delivery, as well as monitoring the earth's surface. "Its effectiveness has already been evaluated by a number of large geological exploration companies and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia," Antsev stressed.
The Kasatka complex, operating under the control of a multifunctional information and control system, is designed for detecting underwater and surface objects, target designation, search and rescue operations, environmental monitoring of water areas and coastal zones. At the MAKS-2021 air show, Antsev told TASS that the complex received artificial intelligence algorithms. According to him, the principles of open architecture, modular construction and unification to various media are laid down in the "Killer Whale".
