Rostov-on-Don. September 6. INTERFAX-YUG-Units of the motorized rifle and tank regiments of the 150th Motorized Rifle Division of the Southern Military District have begun conducting a bilateral tactical exercise at the Kadamovsky training ground in the Rostov region, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
"A bilateral regimental exercise of motorized infantry and tankers of the Southern Military District has started at the training ground in the Rostov region. More than 4 thousand servicemen and about 300 armored vehicles, including T-72B3 tanks and BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles, are involved. Within the framework of the exercise, new methods of tactical actions will be worked out for the first time with the use of army and operational-tactical aviation," the report says.
It is noted that special attention will be paid to the actions of units on helicopters, as well as the ability of battalion commanders to use the capabilities of aviation fire support equipment when evaluating each of the sides of the exercise by the inspectors.
The bilateral vocational training will be held within a week and will end on September 12.
