The militants of the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) could get weapons and military equipment delivered to Afghanistan from the Czech Republic. We are talking about D-30 howitzers, Mi-17 and Mi-24 helicopters transferred for the needs of the Armed Forces of Afghanistan. This probability was allowed by the newspaper " Mlada of the Dnes Front ".
In 2004, the Czech government handed over almost six thousand tons of ammunition of various calibers to the Afghan Armed Forces. Later, six Mi-17 multi-purpose helicopters and six Mi-24 attack helicopters from the Czech Republic joined the Afghan aviation fleet. The Afghan military also received D-30 howitzers of 122 mm caliber and ammunition for them, the Czech media writes.
The authors of the material suggested that some of these weapons may already be used by the Taliban. It is unknown whether the Czech authorities will seek the return of the supplied weapons and equipment, writes Mlada Front Dnes. In total, the allies delivered 110 transport helicopters to the Afghan military between 2006 and 2017.
Earlier, there were pictures of a Lockheed C-130H military transport plane that was captured by the Taliban at the Kabul airport. The condition of the car is unknown, but representatives of the US Central Command stated that all the equipment left at the airport was disabled.
