Moscow. September 1. INTERFAX-JSC NPO Gidromash (Moscow, an asset of RATM Holding) will supply sealed electric pump units for two strategic nuclear submarines "Dmitry Donskoy" and " Prince Potemkin "of the Borey-A project, the company's press service reported.
The price of the contracts amounted to 3.8 billion rubles, it is planned to carry out deliveries in 2023-2024.
It is noted that NPO Gidromash provides pumping units for all submarines of the Borey-A project. "The total amount of contracts for 2021-2024 concluded as part of the execution of the state defense order is more than 6 billion rubles, "the press service quotes Ilya Vasilevsky, General Director of NPO Gidromash.
As reported, in July 2020, the Russian Defense Ministry and Sevmash signed a contract for the construction of two strategic nuclear-powered submarines "Dmitry Donskoy" and "Prince Potemkin" of the Borey-A project.
Strategic submarines of this type belong to the fourth generation of nuclear-powered submarines. They are equipped with Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles. From the first "Boreas" - the submarines "Yuri Dolgoruky", "Alexander Nevsky" and "Vladimir Monomakh" - they differ in less noise, more advanced systems of maneuvering and holding at depth, as well as weapon control.
JSC NPO Gidromash provides supplies for state needs in order to maintain the necessary level of defense capability and security of the country, and also designs and produces high-tech pumping units for various purposes for industrial enterprises.
