It became known about the cause of the crash of the Il-112B light transport aircraft in the Moscow region. This is reported by Kommersant with reference to specialists of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC).
According to the publication, the critical situation on board the Il-112B was provoked by a powerful "kerosene" fire that occurred a few minutes after takeoff. The plane went into an uncontrolled side roll due to the breakage of the right aileron thrust destroyed by fire.
Experts also found that the development of the disaster began with the loss of gas-dynamic stability of the right engine.
The version of law enforcement officers
On August 17, the newest Russian military transport aircraft Il-112B crashed during a training flight at the Kubinka airfield near Moscow. There were three crew members on board the plane.
According to law enforcement agencies, the crash could have occurred due to a technical malfunction of the aircraft or a pilot error. The source of Interfax explained that the crew could have made a mistake during landing due to fatigue. Also, he noted, a version with a failure of equipment is not excluded, since the Il-112B as a prototype was tested under excessive loads.
This could have happened due to problems in the right engine vane [...] system, the power structures told TASS.

about the causes of the IL-112B crash
According to the agency's source in the emergency services, before the plane fell, its right engine caught fire. After that, the Il-112B "tilted to the right side, began to lose speed, turned over and fell," the source said.
At the helm — The Hero of Russia
The commander of the crew of the crashed Il-112B was a test pilot, Hero of Russia Nikolai Kuimov. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
In addition to Kuimov, test pilot Dmitry Komarov and test flight engineer Nikolai Khludeev were on board the aircraft. All the crew members were killed.
According to Kommersant, after the fire, experienced pilots had no choice but to return to the departure airfield and make an emergency landing, which they requested.
The crew acted smoothly and quickly. The commander, without the slightest signs of panic, ordered the co-pilot: "Turn off", then - "Fly", and he just calmly reported on the execution, saying that the burning engine was safely stopped, and the blades of his propeller were installed "downstream" and did not interfere with the movement of the aircraft.
Then the car went towards the airfield on an almost perfect straight course, but at the 45th second after the fire, it began to roll to the right and lower its nose due to the destruction of the aileron thrust. According to experts, no pilot in the world could have taken the plane out of the roll in such conditions.
Posthumous Orders of Courage
On August 31, Russian President Vladimir Putin awarded the pilots and signed a decree on the posthumous awarding of the Orders of courage to the pilots of the Il-112B that crashed in the Moscow region.
