Moscow. August 28. INTERFAX-The evacuation and repair of equipment damaged in battle with the help of a special train were worked out by specialists of logistics support units (MTO) at exercises in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Western Military District (ZVO) reported on Saturday.
"For the first time, as part of the exercises, an area of complex restoration of weapons and military equipment on the basis of a mobile repair and restoration train was deployed at the Mulino training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In the field, MTO specialists worked out the evacuation from the area of mass failure of weapons and military equipment, its repair and restoration with subsequent transfer to combat units, " the report says.
According to the ZVO headquarters, the area of complex restoration of weapons and equipment is deployed at 16 production facilities, has 12 production sites, three specialized sites, warehouses of military-technical property.
Special training sessions with military command bodies, formations, military units and organizations of the MTO of the Far East are held simultaneously at 11 training grounds In total, more than 1.5 thousand military personnel are involved in the maneuvers, about 400 units of equipment are involved.
