KUBINKA /Moscow region/, August 28. /TASS/. The cycle of all tests of the latest 152-mm self-propelled artillery installation 2S43 "Malva" will be completed next year. This was reported to TASS by the press service of the Uralvagonzavod concern (UVZ, part of the Rostec state Corporation) during the International Military-Technical Forum "Army-2021".
"The prototype of the 152-mm self-propelled wheeled artillery gun "Malva" is currently undergoing preliminary tests. The full cycle of tests of the CAO, including state ones, is planned to be completed by the end of 2022, " the UVZ informed.
According to the concern, mass production of the Malva installation can begin after 2023. "The state customer will decide on the start of its serial production from 2023, as well as on the creation of a 155-mm export sample of the Mallow CAO after the successful completion of state tests, "the UVZ added.
CAO "Malva" with an open installation of an artillery unit on a car chassis was developed at the Central Research Institute "Burevestnik" (part of the UVZ).
The Army-2021 Forum is being held at the Patriot Exhibition Center near Moscow from August 22 to 28.
