"We have tried to preserve in it all the positive qualities and functions that were laid down in the Mi-24 — speed, rate of climb, altitude. The helicopter is equipped with a digital autopilot and a navigation system, in which it is possible to download electronic maps of the area. A complex of modern radio communications has been installed, " Chebykin said in an interview with the Zvezda TV channel at the Army-2021 international forum.
According to him, the Mi-35P also provided the use of night vision — prepared equipment and installed an appropriate sight with television and thermal imaging channels. In addition, a laser rangefinder and a laser-guided anti-tank missile control system were added.
Earlier in the day, JSC "Concern" Marine Underwater Weapons-Hydropribor " presented at the forum an underwater drone for bottom inspection, capable of going into autonomous navigation for three months, the TV channel "360" reports.
The Army-2021 Forum opened on August 23 in the Patriot Park in Kubinka near Moscow, it will last until August 28. About 28 thousand exhibits from 1.4 thousand enterprises from Russia and abroad will be presented at the forum. In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will show more than 300 serial samples of equipment. In parallel with the forum, this year the VII Army International Games are also being held, in which servicemen of 44 armies of the world participate.
