TSAMTO, August 27. In recent months, the German Rheinmetall and the Spanish Escribano Mechanical and Engineering jointly conducted a demonstration of new weapons and detection systems installed on the chassis of the Mission Master SP family of DOOMS.
According to the information Armyrecognition.com, a series of demonstrations of the car to representatives of the government and the armed forces of Spain took place at the EM&E facility in San Juan del Viso. In Viatore (province of Almeria), the car was shown to King Philip VI.
The demonstration program was attended by two ground-based remote-controlled vehicles "Mission Master SP" in versions for fire support and reconnaissance. Mission Master SP-Fire Support was equipped with the Guardian 2.0 DUMV developed by Escribano, and Mission Master SP-Surveillance received a set of OTEOS reconnaissance tools from the same manufacturer. Thanks to the OTEOS kit installed on the mast, Mission Master SP-Surveillance successfully detected the threat and automatically transmitted data about its location to Mission Master SP - Fire Support for defeat. Various control capabilities of the car were demonstrated, including the "follow me" mode, autonomous navigation and the mode of movement in a column.
The tests with the Mission Master SP - Fire Support combat shooting, equipped with the Guardian 2.0 DUMV with the Dillon Aero M134D machine gun, were carried out with the participation of an operator equipped with a portable controller, who made the decision to open fire.
For the Rheinmetall Canada division, the test series in Spain was the first time that EM&E equipment was integrated on board Mission Master SP.
