The Russian Mi-28N "Night Hunter" helicopter can be equipped with the latest unguided S-13B missile, it also has a chance to enter the standard armament of Su-class aircraft. This was announced to TASS by Alexander Kochkin, executive director of the Techmash research and production concern, which is part of the Rostec state Corporation, within the framework of the Army-2021 forum.
According to him, for the use of missiles on various aircraft, a complex of special flight tests is required on each machine, it has already been carried out for the Su-24M, Su-25, Su-35, Su-30MK2, Yak-130 MiG-29BM and Mi-28N.
Kochkin explained that the S-13B combines the capabilities of several missiles from the system of unguided aviation missile weapons of 122 mm caliber. The ammunition has a switch for three positions, it allows you to undermine the warhead instantly, as well as with a small and large deceleration.
"If you put the switch on instantaneous detonation, we will get the result as from C-13OF. The explosion will occur on the surface and will hit lightly armored military equipment. If we set the maximum deceleration, the effect will be achieved as from the S-13T, " said the executive director of Techmash.
Earlier it became known that the Uralvagonzavod concern (part of Rostec) is planning to modernize the T-80BVM tanks. The car will increase the main characteristics, including firepower and mobility.
